So,who is Katty?

I am an Accessories fiend who fell in love with Fashion when I was 8 years old after watching a TV drama about Coco Chanel. I discovered Millinery in an evening class at my local College to boost my Portfolio. It worked. After University, I realised I enjoyed making Hats far more and, for 15 years that is what I did. That chapter is now closed and after an hiatus, The Realness in Business was created.

Let’s get Personal

I’m not a one-trick pony, I’ve always been doing more than one thing. I’ve produced Exhibitions, Co-created a Pop-Up Store and I taught in Local FE Colleges for almost 20 years .

Music and Dancing help me move through life. Prince will always be my No.1 but I listen to most genres; I’ll have some classical on while I work or some Funk, Soul & Ska when I wanna move.

Travel gives me the most joy. After 15 years of no holidays, I am determined to fill my passport with stamps.

Costa Rica, Barbados, Jordan and Zanzibar are at the top of the dream list.

I used to think that Italy was my place as I learnt the language and loving everything about it.

But after my Husband introduced me to Portugal, that is my place. We go every year whenever possible. But don’t get it twisted, I still love to travel alone, I like having a little time away that is just for me. Thankfully Hubby is on the same page which makes life even better!

My African roots stem from The Gambia, My Parents came to the UK in the late 60’s.

I plan to relocate there within the next few years to stand in the sunshine. I’m gonna build our dream home too. If you see my vision book!

A library will be in there as I love, love, love to read. From Business books, to Thrillers and Rom-coms. One of my other hobbies is writing and I’m having a go at a novel. It may not go anywhere but I am enjoying the experience.
